The members of Mercantile Connect are directly introduced on an off market basis to private corporate entities who are seeking additional support or investment, to allow the development of the business, to stabilise the business going forward, or to take advantage of a specific business opportunity.

The returns to the members can be either direct investment returns by way of a dividend and capital gains uplift. The member may, depending on their own expertise, be involved in a non executive director or management role; the two appointments need not necessarily be connected.

There are a number of income and capital gains tax relief’s available to members that would make any such informal investment potentially much more attractive. Clearly each member needs to be assessed for the most tax efficient manner of the entry point for the investor.

As a member you will be an experienced business leader, with proven skills and the ability to significantly augment an existing management team. As an investor you will require to be a certified HNWI or capable of representing an investors interests at board level. |
